So, here's the rare but beautiful Cow-dog. Only one left in captivity.
Special studies are hoping to bring this breed back, but alas, no mate, so they may use a Cow-dog like the one below.
The Australian Cattle dog (red heeler, blue heeler)
knows cows so well, that interbreeding may be possible.
If permission is granted by Limecat (http://whatport80.com/Image:Limecat_not_pleased.jpg) - not likely - efficacy studies may begin.
ReplyDeleteAh, Dogcow. Brings back lots of fond memories of the old original beige Macintosh, before OS X. Check out some of the following links.

and lastly, the ever-present Halloween pet, the similar but taxonomically unrelated Cowdog...

(For some reason, dogs dressed up by people never seem to look all that thrilled about it, unless of course it's a chihuahua.)
But I agree, someone should breed a real-life dogcow. It would have all the best aspects of both. Man's best friend, with a big bulging udder!
]:8) "That's what I'm talking about!"
The first pic with the pink balloon for the udder is hilarious.
Thanks, Hans! Funny post. Haven't thought about dogcows for awhile.
Hey, I meant real dogs Hans, not Dogcows!
