Sleepy Time Hansel

I was just relaxing in my condo, when click goes the camera.
This is the part of me that meows, eats, licks, and bites (hehe)
The other part of a head is not me.  It's Lucas taking
the top bunk again.  I like my place better anyway.
It has it's own porta potty!

Horseys

I don't know much about these big animals, but they look very regal to me.  Mama's Grandpa in Kansas had the most beautiful Percherons for miles around.  The Silver horse from Wales could be related to the horse Taran rode in a fantasy book where Kings, Princesses, bards, and even assistant pig-keepers adventured.  The Mustangs are endangered for no good reason except "people" want the land for cattle to graze on instead.  They aren't actually wild, but considered feral since they were once domesticated.  I love the thought of wild horses, as well as wild cats (big brave ones!).

This is my mama's favorite - I can see why - she's beautiful with hair like mine!

Haflinger is a small horse, originally from the Tyrolian Alps in Austria.

Jungle cat #6

This little guy lives in South America on up to Mexico.
He and his family can live in trees all their lives
if they have to.  People are invading their property, so it's a
good thing!  They can climb straight down trees like squirrels
and can hang from on foot.  Wow, they must have a lot of fun.

This one has had enough!

and only lives in Eastern Siberia now.
They are known by many names -
Amur, ManchurianAltaicKoreanNorth China or Ussuri tiger

White Siberian:

Lime Cat

....and here he is in person for the first time on the HTF blog.  Lime Cat ~ what do you think of mixing species - specifically dog and cows?

Iz not in favor of mixing lime wit cats.
Messing wit all nature iz asking for doom.

Frenchy

This Coton de Tulear is making his mark - not on trees or fire hydrants - but in the Impressionist Canine Painters of Paris Society.  He uses his tail, tongue, and paws to paint gorgeous landscapes of Normany, Brittany, and has even traveled to the lavender fields of Provence to breathe in the fresh aroma, eat the local cuisine, and lie in the sunshine drinking wine while painting of course.

Dog-Cow

So, here's the rare but beautiful Cow-dog.  Only one left in captivity.
Special studies are hoping to bring this breed back, but alas, no mate, so they may use a Cow-dog like the one below.

The Australian Cattle dog (red heeler, blue heeler)
knows cows so well, that interbreeding may be possible.

4th big cat

So, back to friendlier faces (not black jags!).  Here's 1 of 2 big cats that roam the Americas, even in my own "backyard", so I'm staying an Indoor Kitty - you never know what's waiting to pounce (hehe, me!)

This little girl looks like she could use a friend.
I like her dimples.

I wish that Mama would be a little more careful - little guy doesn't look too happy.
Jaguars live in South America and are bigger than cougars, but I think cougars are much more handsome/pretty.  Jaguars and Cougars are also cars - I still don't understand that part.

Taking a Break

                 I dreamed about mochas....

This is a Great example of something
I don't want to run into
and a good reason to stay an indoor cat.

Black Panther in this case is a Jaguar
with too much melanin.
You can still see the pattern under the dark tone.

There are other black panthers (large black cats) too.
Some are leopards, some can even be bobcats, etc.
It's just more common that it's either a jaguar or a leopard.

Clouded Leopard

The smallest leopard lives in Borneo and surrounding areas.
    http://cloudedleopard.org/

I might visit IF they really do get to eat Cheeseburgers!

This little Marie dog has a studio apartment all to herself! She looks a bit lonely though - maybe I could join her?

Here is one of my cousins - the Snow Leopard
My big brother Justin wrote about them,
and now I want to learn about my other cousins.
(coming soon)

For now I'll take a little snooze
