We just met in the ancient oak tree.
She's Yvanna and she's a Elf. I thought she was a people,
but she told me she wasn't though she looked the same.
The difference was her skin color ~ mossy green.
Another was her ears ~ like a lynx.
Her eyes were greener than any green I had ever seen.
She spoke in a whisper and she likes to hide,
so she's good at playing games.
I think I'm in love, but I'm suddenly shy.
She is pretty Hans, don't be shy.
ReplyDeleteElves are very beautiful, aren't they? And a bit sad too...
ReplyDeleteI like your poem, Hans. I don't know if you meant it to be a poem but I think so. It's very good.
It's neat to meet people or animals or even other creatures or beings different from ourselves.
You should talk to her. Elves are very kind, and wise. She could teach you a lot, and I'll bet even though you're a cat you could never catch her playing chase!
What does Coco think? Is she jealous? Or just curious? She might be young to know what jealousy is.
I hope things turn out good! Neat picture of Yvanna and I'm happy you posted it. :)
An angelic being named Yavanna is the most important "angel" to all the elves in that story your mom and I like called "Lord of the Rings". She's not in the story, really, but when the elves talk in their own language and say the name "Elbereth," that's Yavannah they're talking about. They have many names for her.
She was the one who placed the stars into the empty sky so that starlight could shine upon the earth.
I think your friend has a lovely name! I wonder if she knows about Middle Earth, the land in The Lord of the Rings. You could ask her.
Good luck Hans. I know you'll be brave when you have to be.
Maybe she is Yavanna's child. She's able to climb trees like a cat and I like that about her too. Coco is too young to know much right now, but she's fun and I like to watch her and play with her and snuggle her. She's my soulmate and Yvanna is my playmate when I'm dreaming.
