Mama says we've going on an adventure to the place where this man is the Emperor, Aragorn is King, Arwen is Queen, and all the world is at peace. It's a place worth finding. I'm packing my foam ball, my scratching post, and food of course. I'll likely travel in Ma's backpack, but I want to be the scout and look for trouble ahead, at least until we arrive in Middle Earth. Then I plan to settle down in a hobbit dwelling with Mama and Marie. Anyone want to join us? Tell me what you'd bring, where you would want to live and do when we get there. That is your task if you choose to come along. Hans the Journey-bound.
P.S. Marie just wants to bring her blanky and food. Mama's bringing snacks for the trip, especially Snickers for energy and Alpine water. She's wearing a cloak of Alpaca wool, traveling boots, and has a cool walking staff with an orb on the top. I think it's magical.

Wow, sounds like a great trip! I hope she doesn't keep you in the cat carrier all the way there.
ReplyDeleteJackson and I will come too, then. We'll live in The Shire if you guys are going to settle down there. I hear all the Sackville-Bagginses are gone now and one of Samwise's great-great-great grandsons is the mayor! Not sure who's living in Bag End these days.
I'm going to bring woolen socks, mittens, and undergarments, a nice soft sweater and some smart-looking trousers, and a heavy cloak to keep out the chill of winter. Also a big pointy hat and a sta...er, a big gnarled walking stick I'm rather fond of. And trail mix and some waybread for the journey.
Jackson is going to bring his Meow Mix, Advantage, his old leather collar with his ID tag if I can find it, and I'm going to knit him a little woolen coat if we have to cross any misty mountains. Maybe also some tiny leather boots, we'll see. We both figure there will be enough fresh water in springs along the way that we don't have to worry about bringing our own.
Oops, Dennis and TMM just read this and I think they'll be coming too. Dennis wants to "head east" but at any rate they'll keep their house in the Cowlands, and probably just zap in to say hi or explore like they do now.
Let's try to keep Sheep from finding out about our new place.
How fun! I can't wait to get packed and get going! Good idea, Hans, your mom is a good thinker. :)
I never was on an adventure before, but I'm happy to go to someplace beautiful and happy. I'm so glad you guys are coming too!! Sounds like you're bring some cool stuff.
ReplyDeleteWe can live at Bag End - lots of hooks to hang out cloaks! Good muffins, cakes, and pies too. Hot tea and a roaring fire on cool nights. Nice garden with lots of flowers and a view of the rolling hills and hedgerows. Lots of butterflies to chase - yay, it'll be fun.
I almost forgot - Longbottom Leaf! I don't smoke but I still want to smell it and maybe chew a tiny piece.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever tried catnip? Maybe Longbottom Leaf is similar to that.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we'll see Tom Bombadil sometime when we're out for a walk! He's got a blue jacket and his boot are yellow - keep an eye out for him. He's a very wise and nice guy. He's got a beautiful wife called Goldberry too!
I've never been on a big adventure like this either, Hans. Yay!
